Exciting changes at Beechtree

Spring is heralding some exciting changes for us at Beechtree Totalcare. Our new Business Development Director, Ann Taylor, joined us in December, and since then her feet have hardly touched the ground. Ann has a long and illustrious career in the care industry having worked within both Children & Families and Adult Social Services for over 20 years, managing domiciliary care service provision across the South and East of the country.

Does the Country Care Enough?

At Beechtree Totalcare we are saddened but not surprised by the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s (EHRC) report "Close to home: older people and human rights in home care" that was launched this week. Having worked in the care sector for many years we have experienced at first hand the escalating demands and the ever-diminishing resources available to meet those demands. And we feel moved to respond to some of the issues raised by this report.

Poor Jobs Response

With Health Secretary Andrew Lansley reporting that the number of people in Britain aged over 85 has almost trebled in the past 25 years and is set to double within the next 20 years, a job in the care industry is future proofed.
