History and Ethos of Beechtree

Founded in 1991 originally as a partnership, Beechtree Total Care Limited is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under their ‘domiciliary care’ category. The company currently holds a three star ‘excellent’ rating. In addition to domiciliary care (known as home care), Beechtree also provides a specialist dementia service and employs personal assistants on behalf of clients.

Quality Service Provided By Quality Staff

Whether providing services directly to private clients or through Kent Social Services, Beechtree clients rightly expect the highest standards. This is delivered and maintained due to the calibre of staff employed. All are subject to CRB checks and a rigorous recruitment process. Staff benefit from ongoing assessment and training. The dedicated management team listens to staff and build effective working relationships. Beechtree can quickly address and resolve any individual staff issues.

"Three star excellent service" - Care Quality Commission

The high quality of Beechtree’s service is confirmed by the most recent inspections from the Care Quality Commission (which replaced the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate). When they dropped in 'unannounced' in January 2010, and in the last Key Inspection in September 2006, Beechtree Total Care was given the highest possible overall rating of 'three star excellent' each time.  While standards were met across the board, the detailed report identified that standards were exceeded in four areas: Quality Monitoring, Staff Training and Development, and Adult Protection.  Both reports can be found on the CQC website.

Commitment to staff & training

Beechtree achieved Investors in People status in 2003 and was re-accredited in November 2006 and January 2010. One member of staff, quoted in the report said: “The training I received was very thorough. It enabled me to fit into the team quickly and gave the clients confidence in me.”

Beechtree employs those with a passion to care. Investing heavily in training, especially in understanding the challenges of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, support workers benefit from both theoretical insight and practical techniques. In this way they appreciate the particular world of the client and are able to gain their confidence.

Beechtree and its staff have consistently won awards and accolades within the care industry.

Listening To And Understanding Clients

This same onus on understanding and listening carries through to Beechtree’s client care. As a friendly, close-knit team that can provide personal attention, Beechtree tailor care packages to the individual’s needs.
